Hello I'm Oliver Gareis. I'm a Hamburg based Digital Art Director with focus on user experience and interaction design. I help build thoughtful interactive experiences for digital brands.

A-O fashion magazine is a personal concept for a further look in the future of online fashion magazines. I try to combine the print and online magazines into one great new experience. Behinde the A-O magazine sits a team which put only a few articles per day on the site and have the time to create the whole assets and make this as an visual eyecatcher. The highlight is a cover which displays the same person per week, like you know from the print highclass print magazines. The whole concept based on a completly editorial look. It was fun to see how far I can go up in an editorial look and go completly on design

We all love to go on concerts, listen to music live. Here I show you a concept for a concert ticket app. My goal was to create the simplest way to book tickets. I focused only on the core functions. 1. Find tickets around your area, get inspiration 2. A intuitive search 3. Book ticktes as easy as possible It was fun to play around and create something different in contrast to some of the bigger player out there.

I had the pleasure to create and design the whole experience for the digital agency called Appico. We wanted to do something different than other studio sites. So we focused to do describe more with words instead of images. Our case studys are 60% copy and 40% visual images, they tell a storie.

We won with this site the Site of the Day at AWWWARDS and get an awesome feedback of the people.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

News is a new interpretation of a newspaper app for the iPad. Each morning you have different apps you need to scroll through. NEWS will change this and collect of each different news platform out there the articles and give it to you. You personalize your app with all the topics you are interessted like sports, politics, science and more. Also you specific these topics. For example you love basketball.

Here you can choose which sport category you want to be informed. So as a basketball fan you only get news out of the NBA and the College Basketball Most of the people only want to read there news quick. Many people love the old way a newspaper works. You have a lot to read and not on each article images that you lose the overview. I specialized this and put attention to the important part of the newspaper, the copy. The copy should be easy to read and have a good overview. I asked different persons and the result was amazing.

So up to 70 percent say the copy is more imortant than a site full of images. On this result my whole structure based on. I tried to create a visual stunning layout which had the focus on typography.

I had the pleasure to work on a global redesign for the mobile Application called "Yapital".

Yapital is all you need to pay. Whether online or in store, you can shop and pay for gradually widening areas that require any sort of payment via the free Yapital app or any Internet browser using your username and password.

Iris von Arnim is a family business. For 35 years they have been passionately producing cashmere in timeless designs. Represent tradition, craftsmanship and an uncompromising comprehension for quality.

Since the moment I've seen the first Batman vs Supermain trailer I was totally hooked.
I'm a Batman fan for 18 years, and couldn't resist to create a design study / concept for the new movie.
My vision was to show the difference between day and night.
I hope Zack Synder's movie is a blast!
